Hyderabad: The High Court Advocate activists in Hyderabad on Friday organised protests to condemn the murder of senior journalist Gauri Lankesh in Karnataka, The advocates accused Hindutva, Sang Pariwar, RSS and BJP governments of having caused the death of Gauri Lankesh, who was shot dead at her house on 5th September.
The All Indian Lawyers Union said that remembered Gauri Lankesh as a writer who represented the voice of politically persecuted people. “She was killed for her writing, which had the power to oppose Right-wing forces, Hindutva, Sang Pariwar, RSS and BJP governments, which target people.
The Hyderabad High Court Advocate joined by Bar Council at Gate No. 6 held their protest against the murder of Individual senior journalists, advocates were seen holding placards reading “MURDER OF GAURI LANKESH AMOUNTS TO ASSASSINATION ON DEMOCRACY” The protests demanded a probe into the murder and asked governments concerned to punish the culprits. Most of them called Gauri Lankesh’s death a political assassination.
The Advocates protest “We Want Justice” and a host of other slogans denouncing the killing of Gauri.
The advocate said that Gauri Lankesh since last two years has written many articles against Hindutva, Sang Pariwar, RSS and BJP, the killing of the journalist is factionalism, in this Country is there is any Constitution? Democracy? and secularism? Said the advocate. Further the advocate will fight against this along with the People of the country.
