New Delhi: The Indian government has issued new rules in Airways that, except for uncontrollable passengers from flying for a minimum of three months to more than two years, depending on the nature of the misbehavior, The government has issued a no-fly list of unruly passengers after Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad admitted assaulting an elderly Air India official after argument over seat allocation, the new rules will be applicable to foreign carriers as well.

The Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapati Raju said that “Under the retired district judge, within 30 days of alleged crime, a decision will be taken by an independent committee”, government officials have classified wild behavior in three levels – oral, physical and life threatened.

Level 1: Unruly physical sign, oral harassment and unruly intoxication, Ban: Up to 3 months.
Level 2: Physically rude behavior (pushing, kicking, hitting, and inappropriate touching, Ban: Up to 6 months.
Level 3: Life threatening behavior, physical attack damage to aircraft systems, etc, Ban: Minimum 2 years.
