New Delhi: The Tourism Department, Government of Telangana has bagged prestigious 8 National Tourism Awards from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India for the year 2015-2016. The Telangana Tourism has been awarded with excellence for the best services and excellence in various sectors of Tourism & Hospitality industry. The details are as follows:

The President, Ram NathKovind presented the National Tourism Awards 2015-16, on the occasion of World Tourism Day, organised by the Ministry of Tourism, in New Delhi on September 27, 2017. The Minister of State for Tourism (I/C) and Electronics & Information Technology, AlphonsKannanthanam, the Secretary, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Smt. RashmiVerma and other dignitaries are also present.
