The Indian spinner Sir, Ravindra Jadeja bowled really effected to lead India to a series win over Sri Lanka in Colombo on today. The Indian team defeated Srilnaka in the 2nd Test on Day 4 by an innings and 53 runs to win the three-match Test series as 2-0. This is the India’s 8th successive wins in recent matches they have played.
While, Dimuth Karunaratne played a wonderful innings in the 2nd innings in the Srilankan side and he scored 141 runs and to score his 6th Test century before lunch of the match. It was Jadeja who gave the visitors the first breakthrough when he dismissed the centurion. Also Jadeja pick the wickets of Dinesh Chandimal (2), Angelo Mathews (36), Diluwan Perera (4) and Dhananjaya de Silva (17) to complete a five-wicket haul.
Earlier, Karunaratne (141) and Mathews (36) kept the Indian team on track, although losing two early wickets. After Karunaratne and Pushpakumara (16) started the proceedings on Sunday, India taken as two wickets in early. While Ashwin taken Pushpakumara’s wicket, Jadeja dismissed Chandimal (2). However, Mathews and Karunaratne played an important innings in the middle and stuck it out for the hosts to be 302/4 at lunch, trailing the visitors only by 139 runs. On yesterday, Kusal Mendis (110) had played a decent innings and determination to dig the hosts out of a massive hole on 3rd Day. Player of the Match goes to Ravindra Jadeja for his remarkable play in the first innings and taken 5 wickets in the 2nd innings.
