Hyderabad: In another Incident of Child Lifting, A women was arrested by the Rajendranagar police on Tuesday, the accused Devara Venkatamma 45-year-old was a sweeper working in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
The Rajendernagar Police received a complaint, which was given by the infant’s mother, B. Krishnaveni 30-year-old stated that on Wednesday 2nd August she went to Kashipathi toddy compound and while returning home she slept in front of a church, as she was feeling drowsy and was unable to walk and When she wake-up the next morning, she surprise to found her son missing, She immediately approached the Rajendernagr police and lodged a complaint.
The Rajendenagar police after verifying the CCTV footage found women lifting the infant and arrested the accused. The Accused Venkatamma who was passing by the church noticed Krishnaveni sleeping along with infant, as her daughter-in-law is childless, she lifted the child and later handed over the child to daughter-in-law saying that she found him in a garbage bin and brought him home. The Police found the infant and handed over to mother.
The police registered a case in Cr. No. 1631/2017, under section 363, 365 IPC of Rajendernagar Police Station, the arrested accused women was send to judicial custody and further investigation is going-on, Rajendranagar Inspector V. Umender said.
