Seoul: The PV Sindhu made the history by beat Nozomi Okuhara, after becoming the first Indian player to win the BWF Korean Open Super Series. The PV Sindhu has done another horrific fight with Japanese Nozomi Okuhara on Sunday.
Last month both the pairs had already fought in the final of the BWF World Championship, when Okuhara got out on top after a 110-minute match, It did not last till this time, but the match was fairly long with the normal standards – 84 minutes, at the end of which, an aggravated and unconquered Sindhu won 22-20, 11-21, 21-18.
The Sindhu got an early start in the first game, but Okuhara, who is running a match between the two pulls back and even escapes with the edge of the 11 to 9 switchover. The Japanese badminton started playing with two game points, but Sindhu fought with four straight points and won the first game.
However, Okuhara increased his pace in the second game and made an 11-6 lead at the break. He raised a 10-game point-lead and eventually scored 21-11 and took the game in a decisive game. It was time to take action in the third game of Sindhu, where she competed with a change of 11-6 lead. However, Okuhara was not letting things go without the real fight till the end. She fought back between two points of Hyderabad Badminton in 13-15 and 16-18. The match can still be in any way, at this point. However, a special rally has decided things in favor of the Sindhu. This rally lasted 56 shots.
The Indian Badminton made three match points, but Okuhara saved another point, before that Sindhu won it. This win made her Indians first to win the Korean Open. She also offered his carrier’s head-to-head record with Okuhara, which now stands 4-4.
