The Dr. T. K. Sreedevi, Director of Municipal Administration, Telangana State, Hyderabad has received HUDCO award along with Rs.1.00 Lakhs cash prize on 25.04.2018 for best practice in Urban Governance for Mapping 12.50 Lakhs properties in (72) Urban Local Bodies.
As a measure to bring efficiency in Property Tax Collection and unearthing under assessments all 12.50 Lakhs properties are mapped with (2) photo-graphs of each property. The data is integrated with IGRS data so that to provide one-point stop to access complete data of the property. Then, these are populated on ͚Bhuvan͛, the Geo spatial platform of NRSC. Mapping the same on Satellite imagery has thrown open the under assessed and un-assessed properties.
This endeavor has enabled Municipal Administration Department to collect Rs.43.00 Cores additionally over last year without hiking the taxes.
The Dr. T. K. Sreedevi, Director of Municipal Administration, Telangana State, Hyderabad has donated the cash prize of Rs.1.00 Lakh received from HUDCO to Chief Minister Relief Fund and handed over the cheque to Sri K.T. Rama Rao, Hon͛ble Minister for Municipal Administration & Urban Development Department on 04.05.2018
