Mumbai: A day before the non-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha, BJP ally Shiv Sena in Maharashtra today said that they will vote against the proposal. The party has released a whip for its MPs, which has directed them to support the NDA government.
The BJP national president Amit Shah Talk to Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on this issue and decision comes after a few minutes. That previously, senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that Uddhav Thackeray would take a final call whether the party will support BJP during the non-trust vote tomorrow.
That On Wednesday, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan accepted the opposition’s no confidence motion and agreed to debate after the voting on Friday.
The CPI (M), RSP, CPM, and the Samajwadi Party have already supported the non-confidence motion that has been officially moved by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). The BJP is confident that there are more than enough MPs in its favor. The NDA is expected to be supported by at least 314 MPs in the lower house, in which 535 members have effective strength. However, the list does not include Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, who is also a BJP MP. The majority point is 268.
